2015 QuickBooks Desktop Sync Overview

This article refers to the newest version of the QuickBooks Desktop Sync, released to some customers starting July, 2016. 

QuickBooks Desktop Sync enables users of QuickBooks Desktop to stay up-to-date, organized and avoid double-entry by automatically sharing information between WORK and QuickBooks.

By using the QuickBooks Desktop Sync App, users of WORK can elect to:

1) Sync Clients between WORK and QuickBooks, and

2) Push Invoice and Payment information from WORK to QuickBooks

Once the initial set-up has been complete, the exchange of information occurs “silently” and securely in the background.

QuickBooks Desktop Sync supports the U.S. version only.


Enabling QuickBooks Desktop Sync

To enable QuickBooks Desktop Sync, users will first need to download the QuickBooks Desktop Sync app from the Integration Settings page in WORK (Settings -> Integrations -> QuickBooks Desktop).

Once downloaded, users will be asked to install the application and authorize WORK to access their QuickBooks account. From there, users can then select which information they’d like to sync or share with QuickBooks. Once the set-up is complete, users can view sync history, status and identify records which have encountered problems.
