Work is a hosted in a Public Cloud on the Microsoft Azure Platform in Singapore. All information regarding the security of the data center can be viewed from Microsoft's datacentre website. Related certifications can be viewed here.
Work is subject to the testing controls and compliance of the Verizon Connect secure engineering framework. All Verizon Connect products are source code scanned, dynamically scanned and penetration tested every quarter internally, each product is also tested once yearly by our third-party security vendor. Security testing is also done at the infrastructure level at the perimeter and internally as per the above frequency.
Is my Work data backed up?
Work is backed up every 12 hours. Backups are stored on Amazon servers in a password-protected account in blob storage. All information regarding the security of Amazon data centers can be viewed from Amazon Web Service’s documentation page.
Does Work store, process or transmit credit card data on any systems?
Work processes payments using a 3rd party payment processing service, Stripe Payments, however, we do not store any credit card information. All information regarding the security of our integration with Stripe Payments can be viewed on their Integrations Security page.
Are end-user sessions encrypted?
Yes, all Work communications are SSL encrypted.
How does Work respond to downtime?
Verizon Connect has a documented and tested incident response procedure and incident security team. All data center systems are monitored using leading-edge technology which allows for swift detection and control of any breach. Planned maintenance windows, while rare, are always communicated in advance to our customers.
Is Work HIPAA Compliant?
Work has not evaluated its security against the technical safeguards outlined by the US Dept of Health & Human Services for HIPAA Compliance.
