The following improvements were released to all customers using the new version of Work during the week of October 14th-October 20th.
Work has improved the way billing items are calculated which ensures all displayed amounts are consistent throughout Work.
What was happening?
Invoice Total might display one amount on the Job record but a different amount in other areas, like the Invoice template, Job List, Accounts or Quotes. The totals were usually off by one cent, causing confusion for the Admins and inconsistencies in their accounting.
What is happening now?
All users will notice Invoice totals are uniform throughout Work and will ensure their accounting is always accurate.
How did we resolve it?
We resolved this issue by using unrounded billing item and tax values when calculating Invoice totals. Using the unrounded values is more mathematically accurate and aligns with most third-party accounting solutions.
