Work provides an opportunity for Admins to speed up the time it takes to receive a payment for an invoice. Through an integration with Stripe®, Clients are able to pay their invoices as soon as they receive it via E-Mail. In order to take advantage of Work online credit card payment capture, you will have to have a Stripe® account set up.
Starting with Stripe®
From Settings, select Integrations then select Stripe®.
To get started, Admins will select Connect to Stripe®.
Note: Learn more about Stripe®and sign up for their services by simply clicking What is Stripe?
Admins are then directed to a Stripe® integration page to answer some questions regarding their company information like Tax/VAT, Location, and Bank information.
Note: Completing this step will create a Stripe® account. If you at any time need to stop taking payments you simply select Disconnect.
Taking Online Credit Card Payments with Work
After setting up Stripe® and linking it to Work, your Clients will see a link in the body of the Email you send them their Invoices.
- The link is designed to capture the Clients credit card details securely using Stripe® as the payment processor.
- When a Client clicks on that link it will take them directly to a webpage displaying the Invoice and a field for the Client to enter their credit card details.
- Once payment is made and successfully processed by Stripe®, the funds will be deposited by Stripe® to your linked account.
- If the Invoice is paid in full it will be marked as paid in Work, if it is partially paid that will be reflected in Work as well.
Strong Customer Authentication (SCA)
If your customer is subject the Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) you may be prompted to enter a one-time passcode to complete the payment. The one-time passcode will be sent to your customer's mobile phone. They will need to provide it to you and you can then enter it on the payment screen in Work.
